The MADIS Sober House management philosophy is continually evolving and realizes that in order to success, tenants must be comfortable to voice their constructive opinions. The MADIS Sober House has several “cardinal” rules: no drugs, no alcohol, no fighting, no stealing and no threatening. These rules are absolute. Otherwise, tenants are encouraged to submit suggestions to improve the process and living arrangements; this approach has resulted in the majority of the tenants being overall satisfied with the program.
Collaboration with outside agencies is essential to ensure the best program for our clients. MADIS Sober House personnel interface with supporting agencies frequently to produce individualized recovery programs to address specific needs of the client.
Addiction is a family disease; family members are welcome to visit and encouraged to take an active part in the client’s recovery.
The MADIS House is the only DMHAS-approved Sober House in Waterbury, Connecticut.
